June / July 2010 Expedition ?

Asslamoaliqum Brothers,

In these days i am feeling so tired because of a lot of work so lets have some fun to go far away from

  • Work
  • Traffic
  • News
  • House
  • Mobile
  • Computer
  • A bed for rest
  • Wife 😉

===================
کُج اُنج وی راہواں اوکھیاں سن
کُج گل وچ غم دا طوق وی سی
کُج شہر دے لوک وی ظالم سن
کُج مینوں مرن دا شوق وی سی

===================
کچھ یوں بھی راہیں مشکل تھیں
کچھ گلے میں غم کا طوق بھی تھا
کچھ شہر کے لوگ بھی ظالم تھے
کچھ مرنے کا مجھے شوق بھی تھا

===================

So what do you people say, any expectation or idea to go for Traveling, Tracking etc in June or July 2010 to Northeren Areas?
I need your recommendations and who is going?

Ragards,
– Shujaat Ali

Walaikumsalam wrbr,

I pray and hope you are doing fine.

I am quite amazed to see you you get tired from work only in a few days? You have been going to some day trips from the last few months (In Dec to Hub and in Jan to Haleji Lake). You still feeling tried?

If so then I think you need to look for a job at wild life 🙂

AOA,
Dear All,

yes i think June or July will be fine with me. infact i will also visit Kaghan and Naran valley this year with my friends and our families.
we have a program set for May or June and for three days on our own transport.
so you now better decide which way to go. we also discussed about Naltar Pakora Trek once. or it could be some where else.
Shujaat you plz give us two or three options, then we will see which one is better for this year.

I am from Islamic Republic of Pakistan - a country where every season is available like Sandy, Snowy etc. For those with an intrinsic love of mountains, Pakistan offers the unique pleasure of its northern mountain ranges, the Himalayas, the Hindukush and the Karakorams - a mountain wonderland unrivaled in the entire world with such formidable peaks as the K-2, the Nanga Parbat, the Rakaposhi, and the Trichmir. These ranges present an awesome challenge for those looking for trekking, mountaineering, angling, or jeep safaris. The resorts in these remote valleys make for an ideal summer get-away.

  1. Assalamoaliqum Brothers,

As Sheraz said that give two or three options so as i read & search some places then i selects these

    Option # 1 BURJI LA

    Duration 3 Days Camping
    Distance 39 Km
    Start: Skardu
    Finish: Ali Malik Village

BURJI LA combines tantalizing view point of world’s highest peaks in 120 Km away Baltoro (K2, Broad Peak, Gasherbrum Massif, Masherbrum), Laila Peak in Haramosh Massif with the magnificent Deosai Plains in the short trek, which can be combined with other routes for superb longer treks.

In that option we can see the beauty of Deosai Plain’s & see Sheosar Lake, Bara Pani, Kala Pani

Sheraz knows well that how was the night stay at Sheosar Lake in Aug 2006, sheraz please can you submit your feelings that how was that night?

I only said that it was a horrible night with freezing temperature & dreams of brown bears & other animals 🙁

  4. Hmmmmmm…. No response from anyone ?

Ok then as every year i finalize the decision & in 2010 i think i must go ahead and finalize it so IN 2010 WE ARE GOING TO BURJI LA.

INSHA ALLAH in 1 to 2 days i will come with full detail of trip and dates.

  5. Asslamoaliqum to everyone,
Dear all, I also have a couple of plans for this year track.

1.Harmosh peak and kutwal lake.(trekking & camping for 3-4 days).

2.Skardu to Kamri Another track is a little tiring but much more interesting because of valley crossovers..Then track from Kamri to Taobut,Neelum.then down to Keran ,Muzaffarabad.

3.Skardu – Deosai – Track to Shonter valley -Kel
then to Muzaffarabad via Keran. In this track we can also track to Chitta Khatta Lake near Shonter.

I have made itinerary and maps for all these journeys.
check them out and give your views on them.

  6. Walaikumsalam Brother,

1st of All HAPPY Marriage 🙂 then

What a Plan but i must say that its an Awesome Plan of option 2 & 3 if it starts from Kashmir and then finish at Skardu 🙂 so i must say that “AIK TEER SAY TEEN SHIKAR” Lovely

By the way after marriage you are making long + lovely plans so SALUTE you 🙂

  7. A beautiful Pushtu song which inspire me so just sharing with you people

This Separation have weakend my heart
Thoughts of the homleand bring tears to my eyes
Too much love will drive me insane!

Water of different kinds flow alongside down this stream
These floodwaters fail to scare me
My courage will carry me across

Why dont you return to your homeland?
You think you are living there like a king
But away from home even king is a baggar

Your sister and old mother love you dearly
“Why dont come back home?”, they are asking

By the way whenever i listen or read it then i am in The Northern Areas of Pakistan, so LOVE IT 🙂

  8. Asslamoaliqum to everyone,
Thanks for your comments for the tracks, but my openion is that its better to start from Skardu and finish in Kashmir, because :

1.Its better 1st to go up & climb down because its easy to reach Islamabad from Kashmir, but its a long and tiring journey from Skardu to Isd.

2.Skardu to Kamri are barren & ugly journey, its better to start from there n then enter into green & beautiful valleys rather then to start from beautiful valleys & end up in barren places.

3.Its easier to climb down then to climb up.

4.It will be easier to track to lakes from this route, because your destination will be quite near to you.

5.It will be peak season in July and it will be much more difficult to get seats for Isd. from Skardu specially by air.

  9. Waliqum Salam Brother,

1st of all Thanks for you Kind reply & detail about Trek.
So please can you send us detail itinerary plan and maps for

    2. Skardu to Kamri
    3. Skardu – Deosai – Track to Shonter valley -Kel

So Waiting your reply, by the way today Karachi’s weather is LOVELY + SEXY 😉 so have a nice day + Weather

  10. Dear Muhammad Ali Naqvi – This year we are planning to trek from Kamri village to Kamri top then down to Taobutt etc.

  11. Dear 4wanderers,

This trek can be start from Astore or Gilgit from Jeep which will take you to Chilam Chawki & if Army permits your jeep, you can go till kamri pass on the jeep and from there it is almost two day trek to taobutt and then you can have jeep from Taobut to Kel or Sharda, but Army will only allow you if you have some strong connection in GHQ otherwise it is almost impossible or if you know somebody in officer grade and he would be on duty in that area then you can also try to go on this trek.

I have only that information about that trek.

  12. I am a pakistani national too but residing in UK for last 10 years. Of course North Pakistan is a really beautiful side of the country. I am visiting every year in most month of August but with a local company (Active Tours Pakistan) http://www.visitatp.com run by well educated and experience team.

No doubt, through their logistic support, i done even k2 bc Gondogoro La said to be one of the difficult trek of North Pakistan, rush lake, fairy meadows & nanga parbat, ultar, naltar, rakaposhi and among tours, deosai plain, hunza, gilgit, shandur pass with polo festival, chitral. This means i have enough knowledge of the said region, as how they tought me.

This year, certainly am going to do KKH/Silk Route from ISlamabad-KAshgar (China)-Islamabad. The plan fixed for me by the local company is 16 days. Let’s see how the things work and for sure will come back to you all with some sweet memories.

    Good luck for everyone.

    HT
